Detox Plus is a Toronto-based beverage company founded on a simple premise—to create all natural premium detox beverages that are affordable and accessible to all, without compromising on experience or quality. Their core product is a collection of six all natural, vegan, gluten and sugar-free, GMO-free and truly organic beverages; Berry, Willow, Chicory, Mint, Orange, and Rose.
Guaranteeing the freshness of the beverage at the same time as maintaining brand values with the constant backdrop of environmental responsibility, ergonomics, consumer experience and commercial feasibility.
We were commissioned to create a complete strategic branding—corporate identity system and environmental design, packaging experience and an e-commerce website that would communicate their unique proposition and help establish them as the new face of the organic beverage industry.
DetoxPlus sells directly to their consumers through an e-commerce website, avoiding retail markup, advertising spends and the need for expensive physical stores. The products come as part of a monthly subscription service and customers can choose from six different flavors.
The brand leverages the visual language of "contrast design" as a way to simultaneously communicate the benefits and value of the beverage and premium quality.
Leveraging the visual language of "simplicity" to reference both modern luxury and deliciously premium goods. This enabled us to communicate the exceptional quality at the heart of the product whilst making it accessible and appealing to a wider audience.
The default aesthetic also created a blank canvas on which to build future collections, allowing the brand to let the rich typographic content come to the fore.
The packaging has not been a mere wrapping for years, but a real instrument of marketing to identify and give value to the product. It is a way to create a direct relationship with the consumer by getting his full attention.
The packaging system is a physical extension of the brand and designed to further reinforce Detox Plus’ ideology as a beverage maker. By avoiding the double boxing, and designing for a singular purpose we were able to markedly reduce packaging costs and waste without compromising the customer experience.
We wanted to create a visual identity that was a genuine reflection of what Detox Plus represented. A community that celebrates natural, organic and healthy lifestyle without compromising quality.
UX & UI Design
Designing user experiences that delight is a difficult task. It takes a highly skilled team of experts: user experience strategists, user interface designers, copywriters, photographers, and engineers. Bornite assembled a team of specialist to craft and optimize the Detox Plus user experience.
